❤ Raw / Vegan Cream Cheeze ❤
This is my family’s definition of fast food. 😛 When you want to have a healthier lifestyle and food habits, it is imperative to have fresh fruits and veggies on hand at all times. Most bad food choices are made when there is nothing fast and easy to eat. I always keep some kind of paté or vegan cheeze ready for such moments. What I love about this type cheeze, are all the options. You can make it plain, sweet, spicy or any other way that you love.
Here’s one of my favourite versions:
2 C cashew nuts
1 C water
15 ml of miso or one small pack (10 ml) of vegan cheeze/yogourt starter culture
15 ml fresh lemon juice
15 ml nutritional yeast
10 ml of Herbes de Provence
7.5 ml of melter coconut oil
5 ml of fresh or granulated garlic
Pink Himalayan salt to taste
1- In the morning, rinse and soak nuts all day in a glass jar
2- In the evening, mix nuts, miso and water in your Vitamix or high speed blender till smooth
3- Pour in a glass dish and cover with a plastic wrap with taking care to remove all air bubbles
4- Let sit overnight
5- In the morning, your vegan cheeze will have risen a little bit, and you know it is ready
6- Remove the plastic wrap, add all other ingredients and mix by hand
This is a great dish to be added with absolutely anything. You can add it in a vegan nori wrap, with veggie crackers, with sliced vegetables, etc. Let your imagination run.
What is wonderful about this cheeze is that it is loaded with probiotics which is wonderful for your gut and your entire body. This is what we call raw, vegan, live food.
