Wednesday’s Thank You / Merci!

These past few days I have been feeling the effects of the long winter days and I have been needing some extra tenderness and warmth. As I sat at the ski hill waiting for my son during his lesson, enjoying the warmth of the sun and the quiet moment I had to myself, a young boy of about 4 years old patted me on the should and asked my name. He said his name was Jake and he was there skiing with his dad. We had a bit of a conversation together and just before he left, he reached out and gave me a huge hug.
As everyone watched on and smiled with surprise at this little boy’s action, my heart filled with gratitude. I knew I had been sent a note from the Universe. A note that said, “stay strong, be focused and know there is ALWAYS love”. There was simply no other explanation for this tender moment that Jake had reached out to give. If I hadn’t been open to it, or paying attention, I could have missed it. So today, and every day, I am grateful for knowing how to pay attention. Listening does bring its rewards, just as faith does. The difference lies in choice.
So I challenge you today to Listen, really listen to what Life offers, and recognize these gifts as real! ❤️

Ces derniers temps, je ressentais davantage la lourdeur de l’hiver et je reconnaissant mon besoin de tendresse et de chaleur. Assied au pied de la montagne à attendre mon fils, je profitais du beau soleil et d’un moment de tranquillité lorsqu’un jeune garçon d’environ quatre s’est présenté. Il me raconta qu’il était là avec son papa et me parla pour un court moment de lui et sa journée. Juste avant de quitter, il s’étira et m’offrit un gros câlin.
Les gens autour de nous surprient de cette action, sourient de ce que le petit Jake venait de fair, tandis que mon cœur se remplit de reconnaissance. Je savais que je venais de recevoir une note de l’Univers. Une note qui exprimait, ” soit forte, reste centrée et rappelles-toi qu’il y a TOUJOURS de l’amour!”. Il n’y avait simplement aucune autre explication pour ce tendre moment que Jake avait choisi de m’exprimer. Si je n’avais pas été ouverte ou si je n’avais pas porté attention, j’aurais manqué ce moment magique. Je suis donc reconnaissante de savoir comment écouter et comment porter attention. Il y a des grands bénéfices à l’écoute, tout comme pour la foi. La différence est dans le choix.
Alors je vous lance le défi d’être à l’Écoute aujourd’hui à ce que la Vie vous offre, et de reconnaître ces cadeaux comme réels. ❤️

Wednesday’s Thank You / Merci!

Do you take time every day to think about your life? Do you reflect on what was good about your day? What could have been better? What you learnt? What you are grateful for?
As I sit here thinking about these questions, I feel blessed. I realize that when I review these questions at the end of my day, I always seem to find at least one thing that was great about my day. I know I always learn something new, even if small and there is ALWAYS something to be grateful for!
Happiness is a state that is created by the things we do, what we say to ourself, what we listen to, the actions we take, the food we eat, the people we choose to surround Yourself with, etc. Happiness is a multitude of little daily choices that, at the end of the day, add up to a sense of contentment.
What choices will you make today?

Prenez-vous le temps à tous les jours pour réfléchir à votre vie? Pensez-vous à ce qui a été bien dans votre journée? Ce qui aurait pu être mieux? Ce que vous avez appris? Pour quoi vous êtes reconnaissant?
Lorsque je suis assied ici à réfléchir à ces questions, je me sens bénie! Je réalise que lorsque je révise ces questions à la fin de ma journée, j’y trouve toujours au moins une bonne chose. Je sais que j’apprends toujours quelque chose de nouveau, même si c’est petit et je sais qu’il y a TOUJOURS une raison d’être reconnaissant!
La joie est un état qui est créé par ce que nous faisons, ce que nous nous disons, ce que nous écoutons, les actions que nous posons, la nourriture que nous ingérons, les gens avec qui nous communiquons, etc. Finalement, la joie de vivre est la compilation de ces multitudes de petits choix que nous prenons chaque jours.

After my bad ski accident a few weeks ago, I was finding it really hard to enjoy myself. It was a pretty bad fall and I was scared and even though I went back several times, I just couldn’t let go of the fear (negative emotions are funny that way). Occasionally, it can be difficult to pursue something we are not so good at doing. It can even become maddening! In these moments, though, it is when we are given the chance to shine.
Doing, practicing, accomplishing is not all about the final result, it is also about being alive and well enough to practice it, and recognizing it. The art of living, is enjoying to “do”. I am grateful for being granted the opportunity to practice all that I love every day. Are you?

À l’occasion, il peut être difficile de persévérer a faire quelque chose dont nous ne sommes pas très à l’aise avec. Cela peut même devenir très frustrant! Par contre, c’est dans ces moments qu’on a la chance d’exceller.
Faire, pratiquer et accomplir n’est pas strictement à propos du résultat final, cela nous prouve aussi que nous somme en vie et assez en forme pour le pratiquer et le reconnaître. L’art de vivre est de profiter du “faire”. Je suis reconnaissante d’avoir l’opportunité de pratiquer ce que j’adore à tous les jours. L’êtes-vous?

Week 50 – 52: I am so pleased you have come all this way and have remained open to implementing new things into your lifestyle. I am grateful to you and have enjoyed this beautiful growth journey with you!
Here are your last challenges that I have regrouped into this particular post. Take one at a time or do all three. Finish it off with a bang and refer back whenever need. Grow, and live outside your comfort zone, it will create a better, bigger and happier you!

– Take a power nap of 20-25 minutes and come back fresher and brighter than ever.
– Become someone’s mentor. You learn best when you are teaching.
– Do something that scares you! Keep your mind open to change all of the time.

Be the best version of yourself, challenge yourself. DARE! DECIDE! DO IT!

Semaine 50 – 52: Je suis tellement heureuse que vous avez réussi ce défi et que vous êtes demeuré ouvert à essayer de nouvelles choses! Je suis reconnaissante et j’ai beaucoup apprécié ce beau voyage de croissance avec vous!
Voici vos derniers défis que j’ai regroupés en un simple billet de blog. Faites-en un à la fois ou prenez les trois en même temps. Finissez en grand et référez-vous lorsque vous en avez besoin. Grandissez et vivez à l’extérieur de votre zone de confort. Vous créerez ainsi une plus grande, meilleure et plus heureuse version de vous-même!

– Faites des petites siestes de 20-25 minutes lorsque possible et revenir à la charge rafraichi et prêt à l’attaque!
– Devenez le mentor de quelqu’un. Vous apprenez le plus, lorsque vous l’enseignez.
– Faites quelque chose qui vous fait peur! Gardez toujours votre esprit ouvert aux changements.
Soyez la meilleure version de vous-même et relevez le défi. OSEZ! DECIDEZ! FAITE-LE!!
