Faux-Nog

Is there ever a bad time to have Faux-Nog?  I just looovvvveee the stuff.  Best raw / vegan recipe ever, so simple to make and a really nice treat ANYTIME!!

I find it especially nice when there is some kind of party going on and everyone has a special drink.  Being fully raw / vegan, it’s so cool when others look at our food and drinks and say, ”Wow, that looks really great, can I try some?”.  And of course we answer, ”Sure, but just a bit cause that’s all I made!”  😉

The ONLY small catch is to make sure you soak the seeds the night before. For those of you who love the raw / vegan lifestyle or for those who love it part time, you probably already know this foodie style is fast and easy, but does require a little in advanced planning.

Here are the ingredients:

½ – 1 frozen banana
1 dried figs (let soak in mylk)
2 Tbsp. sesame seeds, soaked for 8 hours, or overnight
2 Tbsp. hemp seeds
1 cup mylk of choice or water (I usually use fresh almond mylk)
½ tsp. ground cinnamon
pinch of freshly grated nutmeg
1 of ground clove (a small clove cause you can really taste it in here)
pinch of turmeric (for color)
a little squeeze of lemon juice

So as I was saying beforehand, you want to soak the seeds first with about ½ tsp. of sea salt for about 8 hours (or overnight).  Make sure that all your seeds are covered in plenty of water .

The next day, drain and rinse well.

Just about done…
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend on high until completely smooth. Spice to taste and of course, Party & Enjoy!  😆
